The first thing you have to do is define what kind of party you want to organize. Grab your tablet, phone or pen and paper and start writing down what your party goals are and what you need to make them a reality.

Make sure you plan the event for a date in which all of your guests can attend and there are no other major events going at the same time as yours.

Make sure how much money you can spend on the event, and in which things you want to splurge most of your budget. Perhaps, the entertainment is a priority for you or maybe it is the drinks. Either way, you must make sure to budget correctly and not going overboard.

While rooftops, pools, gardens, patios and other outdoor spaces are the kings of the season, indoor parties are not banned. Just make sure that if the event is not in your place, you have made the necessary reservations or arrangements to use the place on the agreed date.

If you’re doing a specifically themed party, make sure all the elements are coherent with the theme. However, even if the party doesn’t have a specific theme, agreeing on a base idea is key to put things together, such as the dress code, the food and drinks you’ll be serving, etc.

Make a guest list and try to get your friends and family to RSVP to avoid any issues. Further, depending on who you invite there are things that you might want or might not want to do during your celebration.

If you want to avoid running into issues around having more guests than expected or less, make sure to send a save the date message to your guests with enough anticipation, followed by the invitations with all the info they need to know.

Food & Drinks
A buffet is the best way to please the majority of your guests as you don’t have to serve people’s dishes or hire a catering service team to do so.

Make sure your decor matches the atmosphere you want to create for your event. Don’t leave this for the last minute and try to buy enough of what you need to fill the entire space, so you don’t have to go out in the middle of preparations to get more.
