Today, there are an estimated 1.5 to 3.0 million cards that still exist.

Because of their availability and price, it caused so many collectors to start their T206 card collection. Since so many people did the same, it caused some of the cards to become a lot more valuable, as some were rarer than others.
This brings us to the 1909 T206 Honus Wagner card. Since this collection is so popular, you’d never guess how much this card is actually worth. Give me a drumroll please…. This card was sold for over 3 million dollars! The reason that this card is worth so much can be thanked to Wagner himself. This is because he banned the American Tobacco Company from selling this card, so only 50 cards were ever sold.
