- 1909 T206 Honus Wagner – This card was sold in 2016 for $3.12 million dollars! There are only 50 known copies of this card; it was discontinued after tobacco companies stopped producing the card, making it extremely rare.
- 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle – Next up, we have this Mickey Mantle card sold for $2.88 million in 2018. The reason that this is so rare is because many of these cards were returned by retailers so that they can sell 1953 cards instead. The returned cards were then sunk in the Hudson River. They may not have been popular in the past, but their rarity makes them more valuable.
- 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle – This card comes in at $750,000 and was sold in 2018. This card is valuable because it’s rare and is also Mickey Mantle’s rookie card.
- 1916 Sporting News Babe Ruth – This card was sold for $717,000 in 2016. Not only is this a rookie card for the famous Babe Ruth, but it is also unique. It was different than the other because it was a collectable business card.
- 1963 Topps Pete Rose – This card was also sold for $717,000 in 2016. Although Pete Rose was banned from baseball because he gambled on the game, he still remained popular, making this card valuable.
